where to buy your syringes
In the name of harm reduction, I figured it was my duty to post this. I, personally, have spent way too much time using syringes so old the numbers are completely rubbed off, shredding my poor veins with a needle duller than a paper clip. I'm sure I'm not the only one on these boards who has to suffer like this because of pharmacists who either don't realize or don't care that we will get high anyways, using old, dirty, sometimes even borrowed, syringes. The answer is Wal-Mart Pharmacy. Very surprising, seeing as the chain will only stock music with profane language edited, doesn't sell porn, and requires identification for R rated movies. Personally, until I was told I wouldn't be refused, I'd try every pharmacy in town and give up when Wal-Mart was the only remaining option. At first I thought it was maybe just my local Wal-Mart here in Asheville, NC. However, ever since, I've purchased syringes at Wal-Marts all over NC, and have also purchased them at wallyworlds in South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and even in Pennsylvania and New Jersey while visiting family where I grew up. I've never been refused, or even questioned. I even get them while I'm paying for my Suboxone script sometimes. All you have to do is ask for your preference, and be specific ("Can I get a pack of BD-UltraFine U-100 31gauge 1cc 1/2 inch?") Quantity(pack/how many packs, which is ten syringes,or a box, which is 100)Brand, length, gauge, cc's, and needle size. You know the routine. I've only asked to buy singles at my Asheville Wal-Mart, so I am unsure if you can do this elsewhere, but my hometown wallyworld sells individually wrapped single Terumos for 95 cents. Anybody already discover this well-kept secret?Anybody ever been turned down by Wal-Mart?If you haven't tried, and struggle to obtain clean equipment, give your local Wal-Mart pharmacy a try, and report back
