Xanax and drug testing?

I get prescribed Xanax for every 3 months and my question would be that can an employer fire a person when xanax shows up in a blood or a urine test?

I can scan them a copy of my script next time I go to my Drs office.

Or I can ask my Dr to provide me a written explanation as to why I am on this medication.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but do these tests only exam illegal street drugs or even prescription medications as well?

Since you are prescribed this medication, you shouldn't have to worry.
