I totally am writting to the X writters and nominating you to go on board!

I'd probably have it so that wolvie and sabretoof both get drunk and experiment with each one night in a cheap motel. after sobering up they realise the horror of what they've done and emotionally supress those memories deep enough to forget all about the entire encounter.

hell, cyclops would be ideal as a third wheel in that equation.

but then i really doubt the stoner hippies at marvel want the xmen to be actual Xmen.

And did you give him a congratulatory nod of appreciation, or did you simply douse him with petrol and set him alight?

Personally I quite like the guy. He has an interesting style. Sorta deadpan, but stil intrigueing.

i gave him a fierce "i know i know you but what the fuck is your name" expression, which unfortunately can easily be mistaken for severe inner thigh cramps.

The X-Men films had a lot going for them. Multiple storylines and character arcs ensured that a stale or boring sequence passed after a minute or two. This helped to cover for a few borderline performances and iffy scenes. Add to this a second film that tops the first, and an average third film becomes somewhat forgivable. So, I'm not sure how well things will work for a movie that centers on only one character from the franchise. My expectations are not high. But this is coming from someone who has no familiarity with the source material, so here’s to having expectations proven wrong.

It was better than X3 but nowhere near as good a X1 or 2. Predictable formulaic action, which fits quite well to set up the other films. They hammed it up a bit much imo and the action simply wasn't very exciting. 2/5

i don't like prequels. they spoil mythology by spelling shit out far too precisely. they feed into the insatiable desire to know a backstory rather than imagine and question one. this approach just ruins whatever mystique and character that is developed in the later stories. i do not look forward to "star trek" and hope this fucking trend ends, but i know it won't because they're money makers.

thats kinda bogus cause even still Wolverines history reveals practically nothing in the books.

When you pull in a global haul of $160 million on your first weekend, you can bet your ass a sequel is in the works.

Variety reports that Seed Productions, Jackman and John Palermo's production company, is already in development on a sequel to " X-Men Origins: Wolverine".

The story this time will squarely focus on the samurai storyline originated in the comic series that Jackman has cited as his favourite.

let this be a lesson to the studio fucks: internet film piracy does NOT adversely affect box office takings. not significantly at least. not enough to warrant the efforts and ironically EXPENSE they put in to "combat" this unwinnable war.

i'm talking about shit like this

While queues at movie previews are not all that uncommon - it's unusual for them to happen after the final reel.

Monday evening saw a clash of the blockbusters at the same George Street complex that bordered on dangerous for cinema-goers. Crowds flooded out of two upstairs cinemas, only to find their exit blocked by security.

With packed preview screenings of Star Trek and X Men Origins: Wolverine finishing simultaneously in two adjoining cinemas, there was always the potential for an over-crowding issue. The problem was that instead of focussing on crowd control, security were intent merely on piracy (mis)management.

As is now the norm, both audiences had been stripped of their mobile phones on entry. Less typically, both were now presented with a shambolic lack of organisation in their return.

The phone desk for the Star Trek preview was located - inexplicably - at the top of the only public set of stairs in the complex.

The desk for the Wolverine media screening was more sensibly located away from the exit point, but was run so inefficiently that a line stretched back the length of the building to meet the former crowd.

With the addition of a camera crew filming audience reactions the effect was hundreds of people packed into a small area, unable to leave.

The crowds were for the most part good humoured. Some patrons even took the opportunity to get a picture with Margaret and David of the ABC's At The Movies .

The critics were less amused, but that could equally have been due to the quality of Hugh Jackman's latest offering.

While a horde of disgruntled critics being forced to queue for their phones sounds like the beginning of a joke, or the makings of a Hollywood director's therapy session, the reality was in hindsight a warning to security teams struggling with the increasing demands of the industry.

I never was into Xmen but my bf and I needed something to do. I liked it. I could watch the other ones now.

i would rather download an illegal copy of a film than be subjected to confiscation of my mobile phone in a movie theatre. fuck that. as if anyone can get anything pirate worthy from a fucking phone.

anyway...
20th Century Fox is developing a "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" spin-off featuring Deadpool says The Hollywood Reporter.

Ryan Reynolds is attached to reprise the wise-cracking mercenary character for what for now is simply being called "Deadpool".

Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studios would act as producers and the project is currently out to writers.

One of the alternate post-credits ends to 'Wolverine' hints that the film would explore the origins of the character.

more origin claptrap.

Well, the old X Men movies have been playing a lot on cable lately and they're actually pretty good especially now that there's none of that distracting hype that usually sways my opinion. I saw Wolverine a few times already, but I never really sat down to watch it - just saw it in the background and paid attention to the main plot points. Unfortunately, the one I happened to see was a copy before they completed the special effects, lol, so many of those spectacular scenes were only there in concept but not fully rendered yet beyond basic CGI. I actually enjoyed this, because it truly allowed me to see the movie and decide whether or not it could actually stand on its own merit. I give it 3 stars. Definitely not bad, and it's cool that there's basically a limitless supply of x men characters they can make "episodes" for in the future.

I 2nd the stupidity of the movie industry.

I don't pirate movies unless they are old, rare, subtitled, or otherwise unavailable. Still, take a hint from the music industry and don't piss off your fans.

When will these big media companies learn that the ball is in our court now. Bow the fuck down.

With that said, i went to the theatre and saw the movie on Sunday. I even bought a $8 box of popcorn. Decent film, not quite geeky enough. I'd like to see some more intrigue and dialogue, but overall a decent movie.

must admit, i did prefer the porno: x-men ob-gyns - wolverine

shhhhhtink
*screams*
doh!

Saw it a week or so ago; I liked the action scenes, they were well done, especially the whole giant funnel(?) fight scene. But...lots of negatives, the plot was so predictable, you just knew the girl was going to die. The child actors at the start were awful. It was filmed in NZ and Aus, when the cabin bit was supposed to be in Canada???

And worst of all...when the girl did her whole touch and convince power on the evil general, she told him to walk until his feet tear up, then carry on walking, which is ok, fair enough, so he's walking and walking, and a car pulls up behind him and he can suddenly stop walking??? Seriously, what the fuck...consistency please?

haha maybe.

(not that I care)

Well I'm not bothered about the film as it's not a film I would ever choose to go and see, however I went with friends, and it just seemed stupid.

Of all the silliness in the film, i think your point is a relatively minor one.

welcome to bluelight. :)
