would i still be able to drink on restoril/temazepam?

i was prescribed 30 mg temazepam that i will take nightly for insomnia..... having not slept in a few days, i forgot to ask my doctor about this but:
can i still drink occasionally if i take it nightly? i don't intend on taking it the same night i drink or taking it together
would skipping a night completely help?

Well like any benzo, drinking on it is risky. It has a fairly long half life, (10-20hrs), so if you wait a day, you'll have a better chance of drinking safely. As long as you drink in moderation, and wait a day or two, you should be fine.

Don't drink after taking it and don't drink the day after as the Temazepam will still be kicking around in your system abit. Give it say 24 hours between Temazepam doses and you should be okay to drink. Just don't get a Alcohol and Temazepam addiction as trust me it will fuck you up. Also Temazepam for some reason is abit more lethal then say Clonazepam, Xanax or Valium when mixed with other CNS depressants such as Alcohol or Opiates so you have to be careful about not mixing the 2.
