will viagra work whilst on axanax?

doctor has just put me on sildenafil Viagra 100mg as my sex drive is rock bottom but whilst I'm taking Xanax will it still work?, any advice would be great.

How do you define work viagra inhibits a enzyme phosphatidylesterase pd4i which allows mire blood flow to enter and relaxes the muscles in the pelvic floor important for a erection. However, sex is also in your brain and gaba is the primary inhibitory neurotransmitter in your brain. Xanax via gaba a receptors modulate cl ion channels causing them to hyperpolarize increasing the amount of signal they need to fire. Drugs like amphetamine while reducing sometimes ability to get and keep a erection cause often increases in sexual desire which mayne due to a increase in na+ ion dependent excitory signaling and the role of dopamine and adrenic receptors in sexual response

In otherwords xanax could cause sexual dysfunction from inhibiting vital excititory signaling needed to drive motivate and enjoy sexual physical and visual stimulation which if impaired could cause sexual dysfunction even if there is nothing mechanically wrong with the penis and if aroused could become erect but without the correct signaling from the brain it wont do anything

Xanax does nothing increase sex drive. It can help make it easier to achieve/maintain an erection, but that is all together different than actual 'sex drive' (The desire to have sex)

Benzos are known to dampen/reduce sex drive.
