Who speaks german here?

When I was 13 one of the shows I used to watch on the German tv was 'tutti frutti'.
Only a few people will get this one

here in the south you want a Maß, that's what we drink at festivals like the Oktoberfest(there's hundreds of those harvest festivals), but you usually just call out the name of the type of beer you want and get it in the correct type of glass for the kind of beer you wanted:
Hell, Weiß, Radler, Ruß, Colaweizen, Goaß'n, Dunkel or Pils - those are usually the choices of beer in the South, depending where you are.


But we don't serve Pinten/pints, and neither do the ppl in BaWü - since your type of measurement is not compatible with ours. We use .5l glasses usually and at harvest festivals or other festivals we usually use 1l glasses called a Maß, which is usually Helles.

Nope - all my grandparents came from Italy except for 1 that came from a Greek island

My great-grandmother came here with some children, and 1 of them actually went to Italy to fight in ww2 as an American and he was gunned down there

Imagine that? send your son off to fight a war on the opposite side of where you're originally from

but my grandfather, he sent back a nazi helmet which my uncle has...my grandfather arrived in Germany right at the very end of the war - the story goes, he was actually in the air on the way there when the Germans surrendered


i just like all that stuff from that time...the Germans definitley had the best awards and medals if you ask me...
