Whats your favourite album?

New Zealand Represent =D=D=D

Do you know of any similar bands? Got all of The Black Seeds and Salmonella Dub stuff. As good as they are they just arn't in the same league as fat freddys drop...

As someone from NZ, thought you might know of some others... You should check out Thievery Corporation, their stuff is pretty cool, Rare Tracks in particular...

My all time favorite:

Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine

I may tire of listening to it from time to time, but I always return to it when I'm in an introspective mood.

I don't think I've bought an album in years. I've been downloading mixes and individual tracks in that time. Even if I download an entire album, I tend to pick and choose tracks that elevate or reflect my mood.

Hard to say but I really enjoyed

"True hardcore - it's a way of life" and "True Hardcore 2"

despite them being mixes rather than albums.

Try, Trinity Roots

And give, Katchfire a go too, all solid NZ reggae/dub.

^ Pitch Black are a great nz electronic dub act

my favourite album would be
Brian Eno - Taking tiger mountain (by strategy)
I must have listened to this album 100's of times. pure poetry <3

If I had to name one, it would be 'Underworld - dubnobasswithmyheadman'

metal: Amon Amarth - With Oden on Our Side
rap: Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
alternative rock: Gorillaz - Gorillaz

For techno I haven't found one yet... something between old Umek, DAVE the drummer, or maybe Jeff Mills - Purpose Maker Compilation ...

1. A Perfect Circle - 13th Step
2. Nightmares on Wax - My Definition

I find dance albums really hit and miss, so not a favorite in that area yet.

this task is ridiculous!!
for electronic music...let's say:
1. autechre - [untitled] (aka LP5)
2. skinny puppy - last rights
3. NIN - Downward Spiral

ebola

Dead Cities i own three copies of - two unwrapped- its that important an album to me. :)

Shpongle - Tales of the Inexpressible

I've listened to most of the songs on this album for at least a hundred times, it still sounds unbelievable. I sometimes stop listening to it for a few weeks, but I always come back.

Good call. It's also the ultimate tripping soundtrack :)

The Streets - Original Pirate Material.

DJ Krush & Toshinori Kondo - Ki-Oku

Dieselboy - Dungeonmasters Guide
Caspa & Rusko - Fabriclive 37
Bill Laswell & Jah Whobble - Radioaxiom a dub transmission
