What's going on with mGlu 5 antagonists?

Brilliant thread, thanks! :D I don't even care anymore about mGlu 5 antagonists..

Apparently models showed fenobam was likely to have side effects at the same dose level it's efficacious at... anxiolytics are no good if they act as amnesic agents.

Whoa yikes... forget your worries amirite? Some people might pay top dollar for something that would have them forget their mother..

So this amnesia you're talking about, it is a side-effect in rodent model and actually persists? Or just irreversible in pups? I take it the reversible anterograde kind is also seen in adults with say MPEP or MTEP?
