What do psychedelics do to your thinking?

I stop thinking in symbols and start thinking in the reality of objects.
 
I try to tinker with logical systems, building up from first principles.

Weird. Could it be that my sober mind is closer to tripping than others'?
 
Quite possibly. lol. It's like I can't escape it. It usually starts with "Wow, I'm thinking" Then I analyze the thoughts and what they are and where they come from. Of course chemicals in my brain are the physical cause of thoughts, but are those chemicals the product of reactions going all the way back to the big bang or was there a creator? etc etc etc etc. When I'm talking to friends while I'm tripping I want to start making flow charts and drawing diagrams. They are generally not nearly as amused as I am.
