So, I am experiencing a new ache that I haven't encountered with prior methamphetamine usage. Did a shot around 11 hours ago. There's a pain that is kinda hard to describe, it isn't debilitating or serious just extremely annoying. The closest thing I can describe it to is the discomfort from swollen glands in your neck or a throat cramp (if you've ever had one lol). It is quite literally right below my jawline in the muscles. Anyone know what this is? And more importantly any tips for remedying the discomfort? I know the comedown reveals all the aches you develop over the binge (only been up around 24hrs).

Not alarmed, just pretty annoyed lol.

This is most likely you unconciously tensing up your neck muscles. I go to the gym and do light weightlifting focusing on form to help. Espscially i use 5 pound dumbell shrugs just practing using the neck muscles and releasing them lst pull downs and rows focusing on getting that stretch full range of motion and gently reingaging the muscle back . Also i do 20 minutes of walking.

Basically meth causes a huge burst of andrenaline and dopamine which turns on your fight or flight system sending blood to your muscles and making you tense up.

Meth isnt the only cause of this if say you worked on the stock exchange floor you could get the same neck pain from just the stress .

Thanks for the reply guys! Thanks to that bitch Tina, y'all know how it goes, it's usually difficult to perceive things about your body as they actually are in reality after a few days being up. Not talking 4+ days and delusions. Just when you're spun (or myself st least) your mind likes to exaggerate things. And y'all nailed it on the head! It was that tendon beneath your jaw, sitting far too long in one posture was undoubtedly the culprit.

While I'm on the subject, does anyone else ever notice their veins while being on the go-go? Not bulging or anything expected, but my veins (to my altered perception) turn sooooo blue. So very blue that it's beautiful and alarming at once. You can almost see like a road map of your circulatory system. Is that normal or just Tina exaggerating? After sleeping they're always back to normal of course, no collapses.

No offense billy but you sound like a teenager who just found out pornography exsist and goes wayyy overboard spending night after night after night looking at all these pretty girls.

I always check my veins my pulse. But it sounds like your doing so much you look a bit like your picture. Have you considered maybe lowering your dose to try to optimize the euphoria without the delsion, anxiety, and fear. I cab tell you nothing is more uncomfortable then being convinced your dying haha,

Hate to be a stick in the mud here, but injecting methamphetamines must be great for one's immune system right??

That's why doctors prescribe so many injectable amphetamines during cold & flu season!

No offense taken whatsoever.

I am not a habitual meth user, yet that does not necessitate me being ignorant to delusions, amp-psychosis and the like. But, I am a self-admittedly overly-curious and analytical being, often to my own detriment. By making inquiries I have the opportunity to appease my compulsion to learn and exhaust things that interest me. Everything I ask(ed) was not a product of fear, anxiety nor concern. Hence the aforementioned compulsion to know things. In regard to substance abuse this allows me to gather more resources for my arsenal which I can deploy to reduce harm. The harm that can be reduced, that is. For the record with (meth)amphetamine usage I have not and do not allow myself to exceed the 35-hour mark. That is not to say when I use I hit my self-imposed ceiling every time.

I am not and was not in fear or panic. I monitor my well-being before and after usage to the best of my ability. Exhausting a particular drug-related topic serves to increase my ability to attend my health.

With that being said, I am afraid I am benighted to the basis of your reasoning here. Does being an inquisitive person entail or indicative of me being an excited 'teenager'?

What was the point of this comment....?

I am a teenager haha. What i meant was finding something amazing then doing it H.A.M. like when i first found out there were picture of toples women on the internet. It be 40 hours later....

Like i guess im just looking at it from daily dextroamphetamine everyday where if i didnt have any id prob not get up. But so your able to do it for thirty hours then take a break? Thats very interesting. You did seem quite analytical even during like the way you described your neck and veins was like a doctor talking about a patient.
If you dont mind me asking did you say you used to do heroin? Why the switch?

I gotcha. I don't always hit 30 hours, but in the event that I do I will not tempt passing 35. And yeah I used to be a junker extraordinaire haha. I didn't switch to meth per se. Every now and then since I escaped H I would snort or smoke meth. Then recently I started slamming it. No particular reason other than I enjoy the utility of the drug. Of course it's only able to be used as a 'tool' for so long before shit gets wild lol.

And I'm not foolish enough to say I could sustain this sporadic indulgment indefinitely, anything can happen. But, in my personal experiences with friends and what not I can say that I easily walk away from it. Granted, that would be a different case if I used daily or even weekly. I don't have some secret behind it or anything like that. I simply just don't enjoy being awake for that long consecutively. Apart from health issues I always end up becoming incredibly bored after doing anything and everything I wanted to do. Overall I just am not the biggest fan of sleep deprivation haha. In other words the appeal of the drug does not outweigh the effects of staying up days and days on end to me personally.

And yeah, I am so effing curious and ask so many questions about things that people who don't know me meet me and sometimes think I am tweaking at the time when I'm not. Then when I am tweaking I ask the same amount, but focused on one or two topics as opposed to when sober I tend to topic hop a lot

You may want to take a moment to remember if you tend to grind your teeth during your high or your come down? I sometimes do and it causes the same ache, in the same area you described. It's called bruxism. I saw someone mentioned chewing gum, that can help. If you know you are prone to this keep gum around when you know you'll be using meth and chew it frequently. Be aware that some people do it when they first sleep after meth use and aren't aren't aware they do it.

I am all but certain that is the main culprit, complemented by constantly tensing muscles. I have a particularly bad TMJ disorder so I grind sober even while awake.
