I was given topiramate to replace gabapentin because I blew up like a Zeppelin on the latter over two years combining it with morphine, and it actually was like pushing a nitro injector on a racing car with respect the weight loss which was already starting and I took off all of the gabapentin weight and more, 72 per cent of my body weight, in approximately a year. YMMV
