Ways to check what has been cut into my stuff

A friend recently purchased a small amount of heroin to smoke and it was mostly powder with a few small chunks. And when she had her first hit (using aluminum foil) she noticed some of it burned differently than she's used to and suspected it was cut with baking soda, so she was wondering if there was a way to find out if that's what it was or if it was something else.. she's fairly new to using H and there's alot she doesn't know when it comes to the drug

Im sure someone can tell you more details than me but I believe there are test kits you can purchase. Google it?
Other than that, I do not know if there is any DYI tests on the spot without a kit.

Testing it is the only way to tell, bunk police sells test kits online.
