Our account was banned due to suspicions of it being an 'alt'. Anybody with basic knowledge of IP addresses will be aware of the doubts entailed in such an accusation, yet we, innocent, remain banned.

Disputes such as this are best resolved by contacting the staff directly, using this function. It is really the most efficient and effective approach, along with the most professional and respectful, as the chances are that you were flagged as an alt by the system, and not a sentient meat computer.
I'm certain this will be dealt with promptly, and I hope that it all works out to your satisfaction; wouldn't want you missing out on what there is to gain from this organization of minds.

If this is who I think it is you should come back under your normal alias, the place was better with you. I could be totally wrong and you are a copper but I doubt it.
