[Photo] UNODC delegates pose in opposition of the censorship of decriminalization recommendation

Richard Branson (Billionaire activist and founder of Virgin Group) recently leaked this United Nations paper recommending the decriminalization of recreational drug use. Branson leaked the paper fearing powerful proponents of the War on Drugs such as China, Russia, and the United States could force censorship of the document despite the fact many member nations support ending the War on Drugs. Branson was right.

Under pressure from unspecified nations the United Nations censored the recommendation. The leaked paper states:
UNDOC said:
..public health is a legitimate aim, but imposing criminal sanctions for drug use and possession for personal consumption is neither necessary nor proportionate. On the contrary, punishment aggravates the behavioral, health and social conditions of the affected people. States can use non-penal, public health measures to address drug dependence and drug use, including providing access to evidence based drug dependence treatment and other harm reduction services, and social support. Arrest and incarceration are disproportionate measures and as noted above, can affect access to fundamental rights...

Large numbers of delegates opposed the censorship of this paper. UNODC delegates pose holding copies of the suppressed paper in opposition of the papers censorship in this pic.

There is a reason they attempted to censor this.. because its spot on and true and signals that the end is very near.

Yeah herbavore. Keeping drugs criminalized is big business in the states.
