I'm not really sure where to start... I'm a male in my early thirties and have been partial to butt play since being a teenager.

Sounds like a great thing to explore in the context of a monogamous relationship with someone you are attracted to. Condoms break. Do you want HIV and/or HPV? If not I would stay away from random dudes online.
 
Why not ask a woman who is your girlfriend or who you are dating to finger your ass, and then if she is open to it eventually ask her to put those sex toys you wrote about using in you? Or look for women who love anal sex and date them?
 
You just have to own your fantasies without shame. I just straight up say to new partners that I enjoy asshole and prostate stimulation when performed by a woman. If they start with the homosexual stuff, then just leave. I say get the real thing. Why get a woman to use a strap on when u can get the real deal? Who knows you may end up liking it a lot.
