Dissociatives Tried to extract dxm

I tried the method using syrup, lemon juice, ammonia, and naphtha, could someone help me to figure out what I did wrong?

is there any obvious mistakes that lots of people make that someone could list?

I drank the lemon juice at the end, it tasted bitter, but it didn’t seem to cause any effects.

Why not just acquire pure DXM powder, measure it, and put it into gelcaps? Or just drink cough syrup that only has DXM in it? This is what disassociative loving friends of mine did.

I didn’t think pure powder was still available

There’s delsym, but it has inactive ingriedients that cause nausea

I never used DXM except for a one time super low dose experience when sick with a bad flu, which just made me feel sort of floaty and tired, but a simple internet search for pure DXM powder gave multiple websites that have it.
