took a 25 mg promethazine Sublingualy now my gums hurt will it get better ?

the other night i was sick, so i put a 25 mg promethazine under my tongue like i do with zofran. woke up the next day with bump where i put the pill, its very painfull its been 2days and it dosent appear to be getting any better. does anyone know if it will get any better on its own or should i go see a denist asap?

What you could try for now is some warm water with a little bit of salt. That might help ease up the irritation.

couldn't figure out how to reply anonymously so i just signed up (i am the op) i did rinse with warm salt water it helped. also i have some biotene put back for when i occasionally do ice( dont know if its 4 mar or meth but dries my mouth out bad) would this help? i take pills sublingualy all the time and this has never happened before.
