Tianeptine withdrawals - why so horrible?

As stated, YMMV.

ODMT only lasts for four hours AFAIK.

I can't make out what the 5 refers to but I was under the impression that tianeptine prescribed for clinical depression is prescribed at 25-50mg/day.

So if you are really struggling with 5mg, I would really be asking what it actually is.
She's using five grams per day.

Yes, people in the states actually use that much and it turns into hell on Earth where many of them either attempt or succeed at suicide because the withdrawals are so bad.

When I was in alcohol rehab, I actually talked to a guy who attempted suicide with fentanyl because he was in such delusional psychotic state from Tia withdrawal and he punched the ambulance driver when he was revived.

He was on day 90 in the program because he wasn't progressing and his insurance was really good.

I actually used zaza's for 3 days and there were varying dosages that they say to use but I used two to three pills two to three times a day and I didn't realize that that equated to several hundred milligrams of TiaNeptine. (Literature indicates that one capsule is approximately 75 mg)

The withdrawal after 3 days was atrocious for 3 days of use. It was like moderate alcohol withdrawal with pain for a good 24 hours I think.

If I'm honest - if you can raise the funds to see a consultant, do so. 5 grams of tianeptine a day is a pretty large habit. It's very hard to compare because as I have previously stated, it appears to be a superagonist. That means even methadone isn't going to stop WD - just reduce the symptoms.

I'm sure others with experience will supply methods that worked for them but truly - find a way to see a specialist.

I have insurance so I def will when I’m off probation

Two things -

1) apparently tianeptine isn't legally controlled in the US so what does probation have to do with it?
2) Doctor-patient confidentiality exists when it concerns 'drug' use (but see point 1).
