Hello everyone, I am looking for some answers on how the human brain acts, and behaves. I am perticularly sure about one subject. Would someone under the influence of LSD, make some kinds of poor decision making with out knowing? Any information would be helpful

Thanks much,
Joe.

Depends on the decision you're making - it's probably best not to operate heavy machinery while tripping for example.

It really depends on the set and setting.

Generally speaking people on low to moderate doses of LSD will retain full control over their actions. It is only on rare occasions (e.g. schizophrenics taking LSD, taking it in severely stressful or emotionally intense situations, taking large doses, and/or combining it with other drugs) that people lose control. If you can behave yourself while high on cannabis, or while moderately drunk, you should be absolutely fine on LSD.

The reason you don't want to operate heavy machinery, drive cars, etc, is due to the distorting effects most psychedelics have on visual/spacial/temporal perception. Some people find that they get distracted more easily, too.

the sense of time passing is altered
you cannot work machinery because that skill is all about synchronized movement, anticipation, timing and choreography...
a moment can last a subjective year or more, time can even run backwards or jump back and forth with insane acceleration.
even if you are smooth, and seem to be in control.
time can suddenly become altered or seem to have been altered.
