Are you considering going on your own or en mass? Solo is always exciting.


Edit: I considered coming "home" that being Donegal, as the Man's never been, but I got waylaid with other ideas.
 
I am not sure yet but I think I'll brave this trip alone! I havent been to the south yet. I am hopefully going sometime around my birthday. Much excitement.

went to mexico years ago... was a trip of a lifetime to be honest... my favourite was the yucatan peninsula, but im a sucker for jungles and temple ruins... oaxaca is quite beautiful too, but dress appropriately as it can get quite chilly even in the height of summer. the pacific coast if beutiful and really hard to find a miserable place... went to some natural parks near the southern border which were fantastic as well, beautiful clear blue lakes in old volcano craters... mexico city will also fill up a whole week in no time for sure...
but whatever you do do not miss out on the fantastic food they have there.

Indeed exciting! %) I've thoroughly enjoyed solo travelling, it made me quite brave...some may say stupid, but hey I'm still alive =D

You've never been to Eire 8o Oh dear lol, but hey it's never going to go away so there's plenty of time, but I highly recommend it <3

of course I'm biased etc etc

Back to your birthday trip - flight into Casablanca or Rabat, public transport to Meknes then Fez in late Oct is "wild" solo %)

I will be going down to Dublin for a day or two in august for my birthday hopefully.

But for October, I am undecided. I need to think and save money! And look at all the pretty places I could go....

Thanks for the info. I made a plan over the weekend about where I plan to be on what dates, and looked into internal coaches and flights to get about. Found my flight was to days earlier than I had remembered, haha.

After not going overseas last year and just reminiscing in another thread about getting the train to Chang Mai from Bangkok i have decided to go back to Thailand in August. Just for two weeks as i wont have much holidays clocked up but two weeks is better than nothing. Just booked the flights..got a pretty sweet deal to on Thai airways who i like flying with as the food is thai and really good. Now i have something to look forward to. Fly into Bangkok on the 10th of August. I cant wait.

Lol. One time i was in Bangkok having a drink with my then girlfriend who was Thai one of her friends came up and joined us. Smoking hot..little black dress..you get the picture. We had a few beers and games of pool and she left. Maew my girlfriend then asked what i thought of her friend..was she pretty. Absolutely i told her...smoking hot..then Maew cracked up and told me her friend was a ladyboy. I would never have picked it. No adams apple..no big feet or hands. Her friend earned huge money as an escort she said.

I am planning a 5 month (max) trip leaving November 2017. My work have agreed to let me have a sabbatical so Goa, Thailand, Laos, Nam and Cambodia is the rough plan. A whole lot of saving between now and then.
