I was at work, did a morning shift today, gotta go in later tonight too.

Lol, I'm a fan of the retrievers. Got a soft spot in my heart for a black lab though.
 
I had a lab named bear for a few years, pretty sure he was smarter than most people I associated with back then.
 
The only thing with Huskys is that they tend to roam, they are working dogs and get bored very quickly
 
I've got rottweilers that live next door and "talk" to me when their ball goes over my fence. Rufus is the leader of the two.
 
He is 3 but he is a big softie, my little female (Rotti x Africanis mix) is the cheeky one.
We had a guy cleaning up our garden and he walked towards me when I was outside opening the gate and she jumped up and snarled at him and showed teeth, I was very surprised because she isnt normally like that with me and she prefers my hubby to me so when she did that I was quite taken aback but proud and know they will look after me if something had to happen when I am home alone

I mean talk about gentle but equipped for trouble, pretty good combo I'd say.

Having two dogs is just better IMO. They form a team and obviously will protect you.
