The Sedona Method

I totally agree with this.

It happens to us all, and I see it everyday in people
When we move from childhood to adulthood we lose the ability to allow our emotions to fade away. Instead we retain the negative emotion beyond the time when it has served its particular purpose. We rethink over these hurtful events and continue to re-experience that negative emotion.
What methods do you use to let go, Ninae?

I like mindfulness. Read "Mindfulness for Dummies". I'm not so good at letting go or gaining control of my emotions, but I'm quite good at purifying.

Mindfulness is something that any addicted person needs to learn in order to become well. I think the best way to learn it is to just sit with your eyes closed and focus on your breath. No meditation required. But it's also good to take off your shoes and go out outside and walk around on the grass and smell the air, listen to the sounds, and just take it in. Even better at the beach, that's my favourite. The beach is probably why Aussies are generally so laid back, because we are all doing mindfulness by simply going to the beach ;)
