the beat from "Survival of Fittest" was initially to be made by Neptunes, but because they were from Queens and at that time those who were lyricists enthusiasts didn't care to first be known and second was more of a "I got home from work, go outside, what else?" Neptunes randomly thought to say wassup to a local cypher and he got booted, what to do. He's from Cali and Queens - Cali doesn't work in same charisma sphere therefore, Havoc told Neptunes he doesn't need anything from him and that Philips ( Neptunes) wanted to buy not the beat but some beats, one of those were from "Shook Ones" and Havoc said, you're to little for this beat ahaha.
 
This Queen-a-thon is getting on my imaginary nuts. I prefer my Irish blood to British & we don't particularly love the Poms
