Megathread The Most Disturbing Movies Iceberg

I'm too lazy to pick movies for all those tiers.

I thought Man Bites Dog was fairly disturbing.

Believe it or not I was creeped the fuck out by The Talented Mr Ripley but I was a teen when I saw it and I've only seen it once.

Cannibal Holocaust and cannibal ferox are pretty out there.

For a Hollywood film Re-animator is pretty disturbing (especially if you watch it while you're tripping like I did fairly recently).

I don't remember the title but I rented an Asian film once that ended up being a fake snuff film about a whole bunch of men dressed as ninjas taking turns (in a line) torturing a woman to death. No plot just torture to the death.

Hostel was pretty disturbing too.

I'm impressed Martyrs is in there. That's one that comes to mind for me. The Human Centipede original is great. Europeans make some disturbing yet stylish stuff. There's a Dutch movie about a woman who gets buried alive which is good.. (Not to be confused with the American version)

The Shining too. Quite disturbing as Nicholson played it frighteningly well, and it felt a lot closer to home too.

Updated (although I haven't been watching these anywhere near as much as I've been obsessed with Italian giallo lately instead) list of one's I've seen:

Tier One:

Friday the 13th
Annabelle
The Conjuring
The Grudge
The Ring
Scream
Childs Play
Insidious
A Nightmare on Elm Street

Tier Two:

The Hills Have Eyes
Saw
Tusk
Midsommar
Hostel
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The House of 1000 Corpses
Requiem for a Dream
The Girl Next Door

Tier Three:

Martyrs
A Serbian Film
Pink Flamingo's
Suicide Club
The House That Jack Built
Antichrist

Eccentric Psycho Cinema

The Necro Files
Mai-Chan's Daily Life: The Movie

Just a warning about the lower tiers. Shit gets real at Tier 6 - literally, it's documentary/mondo themed.

Tier Six:

Faces of Death
Mondo Cane
Traces of Death
Junk Films

Faces of Gore
Africa Addido
Death File Red
Banned from Television
Black Metal Veins
Buried in the Sand

The Dark Side of Porn
Orozco the Embalmer
Arquivos Da Morte saga

But seriously: a warning for Tier 7 - "Disturbing Porngraphy" theme...so, this is real, but not illegal. I've been told nothing on this list is illegal but I haven't personally watched anything from Tiers 7 or 8, and I've heard there may be cheese pizza in some of the Tier 7 "movies" that are basically compilations, depending which "version" or "edition" so please take great care if you're either into some extreme fetish stuff, or are just super-curious.

Tier Seven:

Gusomilk 1-4
Death2Kuffar
UNK8-002
Vomit Enema Ecstasy 1-2
Squirmfest
(morbid curiosity. Did not attempt to fap)
KT Trilogy
Sadi-Scream 1-5
Channel 309
Kuso Limitless
Genki Genki 18,19,21
(accidentally and on the clearnet :/...just one of them...the eels one...also did not attempt to fap)
No Vaseline The Great Porn Swindle
The Motel Files and Other Random Cuts

Tier 8 - A very serious warning, some of these are basically legitmate snuff movies, so I'm unsure...um, the second one on this tier I almost actually left out because I was warned to not even mention it by name on the clearnet, in any context.

Tier Eight:

Fetus Munchers 1-2
Snuff R17
FUBAR

Emocoes Sexuais De Um Cavalo
Ogrish Collection
Registros Fatais 3
Porngore 1 and 2
The Most Disturbed Person on Planet Earth 1-3

I don't know if this is allowed but do you have a way to share movies so others have copies to?

I personally don't but most torrent sites if you search "disturbing movies" or "disturbing movies iceberg" have a large download that has maybe 85% of these. Obviously Tiers 1 through 3 you could probably find at any store or if you have Netflix etc.

The "House" horror movies are as disturbing as anything in tier one, IME

What are the "house" horror movies? And, yeah, I agree there are MANY, MANY more movies that could be on the first two tiers. They're sort of the "normie" tiers. If you picture an actual iceberg, tier one is the sky above the iceberg and tier 2 is the tip of the iceberg you can see sticking out of the ocean. Tier 1 is basically just general horror movies that most people, even if they don't like horror or disturbing films have seen at least some of. Tier two is again just general movies that most horror fans have seen at least some of. Then tier three if stuff slightly more hardcpre fans might have seen and it just gets real bad real quick from there lol.

Bad Boy Bubby was pretty disturbing to me, animal cruelty, incest, rape, mental abuse etc... it would have to be tier 3 or 4. I still don't understand the outstanding ratings it has e.g. on rotten tomatoes 100% critics and 88% audience.

Out of the tiers listed I can stomach movies on tiers 1 - 2 maybe 3 - call me soft...

Hi. Yes I saw it's unfixed fluidity, sense of fun in the seriousness like no joking...

The House movies, 1980's UK strict horror movies.

I can't tell you a lot more there. Could possibly find YT clips or references.

Freddie Kruger, Insideous, were mild vs for me.

Except I never had seen Insideous 2012, was on 1800 mics of sublime LSD.

Spectacular trip, fully right, but wow really cartooney, drifty.

My friend spoke of the Astral travelling kid, stuck out there, and how sonething else can come in.

Being on such a high trip, that idea was a heavy contemplation.

I got these films recently.

You could def call them disturbing.

But be warned....it'd some of MY kindof crazy shit lol, misleading, control of humanity.

Was cheap AH though. For 3 films.

I actually have the novel Divergent, have for a while now, but haven't read it yet (my TBR list is literally ~1100 books strong). You recommend it then?

I'd put it on tier 2 or mayyybe 3. Definitely not 4.

Ink.

Not sure how you will appreciate it without accepting hardcore alt cinema

As far as raw horror is concerned I recently watched Saw like I never saw it thanks to being stoned silly on ganja

I appreciate it but my answer is Ink

I fucking loved a Cannibal holocaust. One of my fav films. I didnt care for a serbian film i thought it was to try hard really. I even watched 2 of the vomit gore trilogy movies although one scene goddamn near did make me puke myself.

But i can't bring myself to watch Salo fuck that shit. Literally fuck that shit
