I was beginning to not feel as good about Doofs due to the mentioned negative aspects. But that's not me.
I clean up too, I don't have dreads(in fact two girls had a go at my mate coz they thought he was a lad(we're not) so I agree there is hypocrisy) but I had a great time. I go for the music and the experience. I'd be happy to go out to the middle of nowhere and blast psy out of shifty car speakers with just my friends and acid. The extras are just the icing on the cake.
And as Mel said. It's good to get away from those people that are obsessed with vanity and straight up ego.
It was only my first doof but I can't see it being worse than every rave, ever!
