The BHO-Pro
A benchtop style process controller fully loaded with optimizations.
Engineered for the perfect purge.
The setup listed here is the culmination of all the best improvements to the vacuum-purge process over many years of experimentation. We've come a long way from purging our raw BHO on a high heat griddle, recklessly boiling off all the tasty terpenes. The BHO-PRO was designed with terpene retention as its prime objective. Here's how:
1: HEAT is controlled to the degree via PID temperature controller. Not your grand-daddy's thermostat, this digital beast uses hand tuned calculus algorithms to constantly solve what percentage of power is required to reduce the error between set value, and measured value. Adjustable to the .1F
2: PRESSURE is maintained inside the industry leader BestValueVac's stainless steel vacuum chamber. A monstrous 5 CFM, 2-stage electric vacuum o pump pulls pressures well in excess of -30.00", allowing the user to cold-purge with pressure alone if that is what is desired.
3:VIBRATION is what makes the BHO-Pro unique. The vacuum chamber sits on a vibrating shelf, which underneath is mounted an Aura Research, tactile transducer (home theater bass shaker). This allows low temperature purges by physically popping the bubbles inside the vacuum chamber without having to heat the BHO up so much that it becomes viscous enough to pop on its own.
All systems are controlled independently by panel mounted LED power switches

3gallon vacuum chamber crafted from 18-8 (food grade) stainless steel for quick, even heating.
5 CFM, 2-Stage vacuum pump rated to 25 microns (Pulls to well over -30"HG corrected for elevation)
9" Omega silicone rubber heating mat 2.5 Watt/in^2 Rated for temperatures Ambient - 450F

TA-7SNR PID industrial process controller, with PT100 resistance thermometer (thermistor) Custom tuned for BHO.
Aura AST-2B-4 Tactile Transducer (home theatre butt shaker), powered by 4x45watt amplifier,
This feature sends powerful vibrations thru the chamber encouraging those stubborn bubbles to readily pop at lower temperatures than you could without. A floating shelf mount ensures that vibration energy is not wasted. Your chamber vibrates, not the whole box.
iCelsius-brand temperature sensor (thermocouple). Plugs into any iPod/Pad/Phone and allows temperature measurement to the hundreth of a degree farenheit. Free app (iCelsius) makes graphing and saving process recordings a snap.
LED switches control power to individual components, as well as toggle the vacuum pump on/off.
Benchtop has auxillary power cords for phone, iPad, and USB...never lose your charger again.
Box was hand crafted from 3/4" MDF, hinged panel provides easy access so the system's inside.
