Hello,

I tested a white powder sample said to be 4-Bromo-2,5-Dimethoxyphenethylamine, I performed three colorimetric tests on this sample, Marquis, Mandelin and Mecke.

What do you think about the results?

It's seems to be 2CB containing sample to me.

Thanks.

That's pretty much what you'd expect to see, although most of the 2C-x class reacts very similarly so do be careful.

2C-B will usually be a yellowish green that fades into a darker green/blue over time, although the EZ test kits are a bit different so it would likely be much harder to see the fade.

Hello Folley,

Thanks for answer.

That's exacthy what's happened it was yellow at frist (0 to 10 sec) and yellow/green (10sec to 10min) and en dark green 10 min to 30 min) and deep blue over time (>30min).
So it was a text book reaction for 2CB with the Marquis reagent.

Best regards.

2CBee
