Winter's Bone - my only complaint is that the dialogue was so quiet and the accents so thick, we had to listen to scenes several times.

Just got back from the third Transformers. It is nothing more and nothing less than a typical Michael Bay film: hot women, big guns, explosions, and cardboard characters, not necessarily in that order.

finally got to see aliens versus predator requiem. heard it was better than the first avp, it wasn't. i hate how in the avp films the chestbursters would erupt pretty much as soon as the victim wakes up. lame.

Hadn't seen the original, was looking forward to this one for a while. It was good, no doubt, it had the good ol' Coen Brothers' nuanced dialog going for it. My only complaint is that they still can't seem to remember how to end a movie properly.

lol pretty cool, kinda funny.. a old lady doctor/surgon goes all crazy like and has the cure for addiction (drugs,sex,porn,eating).. not bad scary movie, put some thought into it because it involves a psych ward type setting/hospital/church,. so yeah

they are cheap low budget horror type movies, not really known i guess, i mean i dont think they made it out n theatres. film festivals, film class, horror movies dont come out like they used to.
o the chinese/japanese are coming out with some reall spooky scary movies!!

This is definitely one of my favorite horror movies I've seen in the past decade.

If you like movies with creepy killer kids, this one delivers in spades.

A creepy and surprisingly funny little movie involving a blissfully ignorant little boy who unwittingly assists a silent masked killer. The killer is awesome and really makes the movie. He's hilarious one minute and makes you run for your life the next.

This is a simple little horror movie in the same vein as Man Bites Dog. I like the whole concept of this movie and the actor did a great job as the murderer who films his kills.

havnt seen behind the mask yet, looks pretty wild. i'm going to have to check them out.
Ghost House productions has yet to let me down, most of their movies are really fuckd up, and have good graphics and spooky scenes!

I just finished watching "Gummo" on Youtube. As an art film, you won't find much in the way of gripping drama and edge-of-seat action, but it does a really good job presenting a mood and maintaining an atmosphere of hopelessness and nihilism set to small town America. Really interesting movie with some cool cinematography and bitching tunes.

The matrix. It's this interesting movie with Ted from Bill and Ted and the schizo from Predators fighting the guy who voices Megatron in the new Transformers movies inside a computer.

It also has the barmaid from Memento in a catsuit for some nice eye candy as Theodore Logan's love interest.

bizarre, awkward greek film. very similar feel to "dogtooth" like watching a discovery channel on animals in the wild only we watch an awkward human female discover her sexuality and deal with death. worth a viewing if u enjoyed "dogtooth"

127 Hours
^was trying to rent something silly and entertaining. turned out to be boring. i had suspicions, as it was supposed to be about a guy who spends 127 hours standing alone with a rock. but i thought james franco might be able to do something watchable with it. na.

being based off of a already popular story with a shocking ending really works against it. couldn't stop thinking "hack your fucking arm off and go home already" the whole movie. that a spoiler? i guess i'll white it out, but who didn't hear about this guy when it happened.

and it was over-stylized without class. IMO, of course.
