TCA Discontinuation Syndrome

I've been taking 30mg of amitriptyline per night for ~3 years for insomnia and headaches and am finally to a point I'm ready to get off of it. Will I likely experience any withdrawals or negative effects upon discontinuation at this dose? Doc doesn't seem to think so but they also told me clonazepam was self tapering...

I was on Amitriptyline for about 2 years and topped out at the max outpatient dose of 150mg's a day. I stopped taking it cold turkey after it stopped working for me and never experienced any withdrawal symptoms besides some rebound insomnia. At 30mg's i doubt you will experience any wd symptoms except perhaps some insomnia.
