Hi. Im new here & searched through a bunch of posts but didnt see my question anywhere. Sorry if it is somewhere that I missed. I've been prescribed subutex for almost 2 years, 2 8 mg pills a day. I missed my appointment because I was still gone for the holidays & hadn't had any subutex since Monday & I only had 1 8 mg pill that day. My doctors office wouldn't let me come in until next Monday & Id started feeling the withdrawals Thursday & then big time yesterday. I took an 8 mg strip & definitely felt better but not as good as I had figured I would've, just from experience being perscribed it in the past or being given it at detoxes. Anyhow, just wondering why Im feeling so crappy after day 2 of taking the suboxone. Is it because I was normally taking 2 8 mg subutex a day & now only being able to take 1 8 mg suboxone or because suboxone has less buprenorphine in it or both or what? I've searched online & asked in different places but haven't found an answer anywhere. Sorry this is so long but when I explain things I tend to draw everything out. Lol. Thanks!

Well you cut your dose in half, and it takes longer than 2 days(generally) for buprenorphine to reach steady state.

So your body is probably just adjusting. Taken sublingually, there is simply not a difference, pharmacologically, with Suboxone vs. Subutex.

Dissolving a strip in a small amount of water(an talking like 1ml) will increase BA%, basically making it like a strip and a half, just administer the water directly under your tongue, hold 4-5 minutes, should increase potency 25-50%
