taking 3mg of xanax daily and still no effect

i have been taking xanax everyday for anxiety for 6 months,i started with 0.25 mg and now im taking 3mg all at once.Im not feeling the relief,sedation and anxienty relief i used to have,i said this to my doctor last week(dose used to be 2mg) and she uped the dose to 3mg,i still dont feel shit. should i keep uping the dose or should i stop using xanax? i'm using the generic brand alprazolam not the xanax/frontal(im from brazil) one, does it have any difference from the generic to the branded one?

Check with your doctor before increasing your dose. They may want to try other meds to go along with alprazolam since it doesn't seem to be working as well anymore.

Generic or branded alprazolam it makes no difference. It's stopped working it's magic coz you've built a tolerance ...and unfortunately the tolerance will keep building
