It's a very long & detailed topic to discuss bio-warfare & spirochetes. Take a look at this -
www.elenacook.org/spirowarfare.html - it may explain some things... This book is also very good - Lab 257: The Disturbing Story of the Government's Secret Plum Island Germ Laboratory - Michael C. Carroll.
Thank you RhythmSpring. I do have Buhner's book here somewhere. I have read it. I mostly reference Planet Thrive for his comments on herbs. Dr. Buhner is now recommending Cryptolepsis for babesia. I figured I'd try that first. I also have the full Cowden protocol here - so, I figured I'd try the Nutramedix Quina. I have tried numerous things such as supplements, drugs, antibiotics, herbs, many forms of physical therapy, massage, bio-feedback, infrared therapy, etc. I've been to many doctors.
An artemesia derivative is very effective for malaria in combination with a drug called piperaquine. It is made in China. I have not found it anywhere in the US. There are some differences between babesia & malaria - so, there's a chance it may not be effective for babesia even though they are similar & both protozoa parasite infections. The treatment for malaria is about 3 days with the artemesia/piperqauine combo. It's about 96% effective for malaria. Artemesia or it's derivitives can take 6-9 months to work for babesia. I don't know why the artemesia/piperaquine drug is completely unavailable in the US.
I went bankrupt by not being able to work since I'm too ill, having too many doctor bills (& other bills) & not being able to get disability... My doctor is good but he is not an expert on herbs. Also many doctors who specialize in Lyme are extremely expensive including the tests, drugs, etc. Many doctors do not even believe that Lyme exists (no less the co-infections) - so, you have to go to what's known as an LLMD (specialist) - which is Lyme literate MD. They often do not take insurance (not that I have it) so you have to pay for everything out of pocket. You see where this goes...
I've been fighting Lyme for about 5 years. I thought I had Fibromyalgia but it's really Lyme or a co-infection. I've been ill for almost 15 years - so, I've been through alot.
Many people who find out that they have Lyme are also infected with the various herpes viruses, Epstein Barr Virus, mycoplasmas, mercury & other toxins, parasites, yeasts, etc. It sets off a whole chain of events that lead to a downward spiral. Most people think they can get rid of Lyme like the flu but it's not that easy. Some people do manage to get well if they catch the tick bite in time but many people can have it for years without knowing. It can also relapse after treatment. The ticks can be the size of a poppy seed & sometimes you don't see any rash from being bitten.
If you look up Peganum harmala (Syrian Rue) on PubMed you will find about 80 articles about the medicinal properties of Syrian Rue. Not all are appropriate to being anti-parasite but there are some significant studies.
If you happen to read this - be very careful of ticks! It's no joke...
I still would like to hear any experiences with Syrian Rue!
