having a passport and money are always a good start... and speaking or atleast being able to translate the lang a close secone... you got a country in mind or just asking in general? cause im pretty sure some countries require extras steps like in you wana go to N korea or sum shit thats diff then going to canada...

Some places also require that you have your jabs before your allowed entry (yellow fever for some places) - also some places require that you have a pre arranged visa (depending on your nationality).

a job is typically only required insofar as having someone willing to vouche for you so that your visa application gets approved but yeah if you're staying longer than the average tourist you will need a visa*
