I've been taking like half a sub for the past 5 days but having dental surgery tomorrow and I am worried I won't be able to feel the pain meds ...how long does the blocking effect last? Anyone know

Google tells this:

The average half-life of buprenorphine is about 38 hours (25 to 70 hours) following sublingual administration.

So it depends much on your personal metabolism but just one day w/o it will still be in your system. Do you get pain relief from your dose? Maybe your doc could up it for a short time when you expect heavy pain for which ibuprofen/paracetamol are too soft.

Unless they give you about 10 pills you wont feel any other pain blocking than bupre
