I am about to start suboxen but have been taking high doses of loperamide. Do I need to wait to be in withdrawls from the loperamide before I take the subs? I do not want to induce horrible withdrawl symptoms... please advice?! I start the subs tommorow but definetly still have loperamide in my system....
 
from what i understand loper doesn't reach the receptors in your brain which would explain why it only helps with lower GI problems during withdrawal. I'd go ahead with the subs.
 
suboxone will probably activate the opioid receptors in your brain to greater extent than the lope (if any managed to get through) so I wouldn't imagine waiting 24 hrs would be necessary. How did it go?
