Harm Reduction Stimulant Overdose Instructions / survived 3 stimulant overdoses

Very interesting question. I think
It could be very dangerous if you dosed over 4 mL and put yourself into sleep, I wouldn’t suggest that at all. A small dose on the other hand, maybe
What about a shot of fentanyl? Works the same as a opiate?

Hey everyone. Im new here....sort of...been reading for couple years but never posted. I have been having many many symptoms that are severe and its greatly impacting my life.
First a little history:
Have had addictions to Roxy, Meth, Xanax, Coke, Adderall. I also smoke weed(hadn't smoked in about 15 years until about a year ago and I've smoked every single day(not all day....evening/night only unless its weekend)
I am currently on the Adderall. I have taken approx 300mg/day(many times up to 400)every day for approx a year and a half.
just got home from the ER. Not my first trip there recently.
I have been taking around 300mg/day of Adderall, every day(sometimes up to 400) for about a year and a half. At first, when my rx was gone way too fucking early, I would grab coke and that would get me by. Then I began getting coke sometimes even when I had adderall. I decided I need to seriously stop the coke, especially IV coke. I slowed it way down but would still do the IV coke every couple days. (This was last winter by the way)
I had an episode one night that was the scariest fucking thing I'd ever been through with my health/life. I thought I was going to have heart attack for fucking real. After doing coke only twice that night(very small amount actually compared to my normal) Had a sudden rush go through body that began at feet and very very quickly went all the way up my body. Then my heart suddenly was so tight and began racing, cant breathe, entire body trembling, . Found out later it was a panic attack. Never had anything close to that ever happen. That scared me enough to seriously immediately stop.
Ever since that night, I have had symptoms that have progressed.
At first a stumble here and there and dropping things I was holding with fingers.
From then til now these symptoms have joined the team: (Not in correct chronological order)
Memory loss, confusion, episodes of foggy head, motion sickness type episodes, psych issues(this was more terrifying than the physical) began bumping into things(elbows have taken a beating), infections that wont heal, had severe hair loss for couple months, odd break outs on face(would wake up and bam....red bumps on chin(nothing but tiny bit clear liquid if squeezed) episodes of severe agitation, I've had horrible fights with bf and had like an emotional breakdown that led into something much fucking scarier that I'm assuming was psychosis, bipolar type behavior, get very agitated very quickly pretty much all day every day, feel nerves firing throughout my body throughout the entire day, SEVERE gastrointestinal issues, trouble swa

Uggghhh I hit post by accident above. I have more .

I'm going to edit it
Sorry guys

Ok I'm just continuing here....
Severe gastrointestinal issues, trouble swallowing(not same as cant swallow food cause its stuck and hurts like a fucker) even with nothing in mouth and I'm doing my normal swallow that's subconsciously done. I have issues with the actual swallowing itself, coughing, get a random blurred circle like spot in right eyes vision, have had incontinence type issues a couple times,

I'm sure I'm missing something up there but you get the idea.

About two months ago I was on beach late at night with bf and had had my usual high dose of addy but actually added even more for some reason that day...and I had smoked a lot of weed. Upon leaving the beach I suddenly had intense dizzish weird head stuff, heart faster, cant breathe well, trembling....
We tried to get to car but I stopped and had to sit....I was weirdly out of it like never before....so hard to explain. My body began moving oddly...feet turn inward, arms twist backwards etc. I'd have moments of "coming back to present" and realized I'd checked out for a minute(my bf said I'd just stare and barely move head) I remembered I had a xan on so I chewed it up a little and swallowed. That eased symptoms but I was still so out of it all night.
When I smoke weed I get so so forgetful now(didnt do this a year ago)
A week ago today I noticed after I had smoked weed that night that I was double forgetful and stumbly and even paranoid some and had a fear in me. Then the next day it was even worse to the point of dementia. That lasted all week.
Was only last night it seemed to ease up.
Tonight, while eating, I looked down at plate and felt the sensation that I was falling off chair, driving after dinner my bf rubbed top of forearm and it felt weird..it was numb to the touch and within a few minutes the other was. I wasnt upset or panicking at all but was concerned, suddenly heart began pounding rapidly and I started having same feeling as I did on the beach that night. I immediately pulled over and told bf to call 911.
Bloodwork normal, CT normal
They said it's a panic attack...did nothing and gave me no meds.

I also want to add that I have Celiac Disease and i have not been going by the diet correctly and Celiac apparently can cause/lead to MANY MANY medical problems and lots are severe. CNS can be affected and malnutrition can happen.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?
I have no insurance and I moved here 3yrs ago and dont have a family doctor here. I go back home for my doctors appointments.

I'm scared to take my addy now but cant just stop. Scared to smoke weed(the bad episodes and worst symptoms have all been after weed)
I need that shit in more than one way...it stops my stomach pain and I get hungry...like for real hungry and I can eat food instead of applesauce and yogurt

Any ideas??

Hey there! I see your post was from a little while ago so hopefully you're not in need of this advice now. I actually have panic disorder, which started before I ever used any stimulants. When i had my first panic attack I literally thought I was dying just like you. Then for months afterwards, and even now sometimes although its been 15 years, I would have additional attacks much like you described. I get symptoms in my gut for some reason and I'd fear vomiting in public, I quit school because I was frightened to have an attack in front of strangers, plus during an attack things felt very unreal. I realized that my first attack came seemingly out of nowhere (I was in the middle of an airplane ride so that was fun haha) but subsequent attacks were triggered by my obsessive worry about having another one. The way i stopped it was I explained to my psychiatrist that I couldn't live in constant fear anymore and explained everything I was losing out on in life. She didn't like benzodiazepines but gave me just a few a month. Juat the idea that I had a way out if a panic attack came upon me stopped me from living in terror.

T he one warning i have though is be very car eful. You'll like the drug and want to use it more than you should. If you drink or do heroin or any type of downer DO NOT MIX THEM. Most people who die of overdoses do so when they combine drugs especially two different downers. Good luck, and remember to tell yourself it's impossible for a panic attack to seriously harm or kill me.

I thought I would offer some insight here as I have been battling methamphetamine (pills, not crystal) since Covid 19 forced me to work like a dog. Despite trying to keep it together, I've found the effects become more unpredictable. Sometimes I feel fine, other times... no. I posted in another thread, vasoconstriction is a real problem most are not aware of. Few drugs seem to combat it, but Cialis works well.

I recently read some literature I don't have handy regarding labetalol. This is now the preferred second line treatment and sometimes first line treatment. It is a mixed beta/alpha blocker, that also blocks the various ways meth causes problems in overdose - such as increasing body temperature, and even confusion. It directly lowers blood pressure.

It seems quite safe, although you may have to experiment with dosages. It can interact with Cialis as they are both vasodilators.

Another option is Metoprolol. This one you can't take if you have serious high blood pressure as it is a beta blocker only. But it blocks the effects of meth in the brain as far as confusion, tachycardia, and increased body temperature. Seems to work faster than labetalol.

Being a dual benzo addict, I think it's unwise to resort to benzos unless absolute necessary - like you need to get shit done. The beta blockers mentioned will make you feel more tired than benzos. I'm trying to transition down benzo doses and meth doses, with one of the listed beta blockers at night along with Seroquel.

I’ve read several articles recommending these particular beta blockers in clinical settings. One thing recommended is to start with smaller than regular dose initially and titrate up. Especially since in clinical settings they may be given intravenously.

The ideal combo for acute intoxication would be droperidol and lorazepam from what I’ve read. This would be given first, followed by the beta-blockers if still having cardiac issues.

Antipsychotics + Benzos would give the best results like Haloperidol combined with Lorazepam.

I remember I had a severe coke OD in which I should of called an amulance but I took Quetiapine with Clonazepam and within 30mins I felt normal.

Droperidol is a sedating dopaminergic antipsychotic.

Your probably better off using an all purpose antipsychotic as stimulants hit more than one type of receptor.
Could be. I’m no expert and am relying on clinical case studies in PubMed. I look for the meta studies that look at the treatment of large numbers of meth overdoses in multiple ER’s.

The literature does not really show a consensus beyond giving the antipsychotic (usually haloperidol) and the benzo before trying the beta blockers.

However I suspect that not all the receptors targetted by meth contribute equally to a cardiac crisis.

One of the problems with meth, which I have deduced from the literature, is it really isn't as dangerous as most make it out to be. Most deaths are associated with narcotics, and deaths sharply rose as cheap Chinese fentanyl contaminated the heroin supply. Now, in the long term? Clearly a different story. And from what I can tell, there are people who dose 100s of mg per day.

So, there isn't much to go on. You combine that with the fundamentally different ways cocaine and amphetamines and analogs work, and you get a lot of contradictory advice.

The problem I have, although I don't have any short acting benzos like Ativan or Xanax, is I feel like the doses you need to take to kill even a minor overdose (and for me this is my BP and pulse being just at the threshold of Stage 1 hypertension and tachycardia) is just too much. For me, it is probably tolerance related.

Discovering these particular beta blockers has been a god send as I can cut down on both benzos and meth.
