Spriit of Salicylic acid 96% ethanol while Xanax in system?

My dermatologist recommended me to pick up a bottle of Spirit of Salicylic acid for my pimples/acne but my concern is, that it has 96% Ethanol (alcohol) as well. Its applied EXTERNALLY. Will I have an issue with the alcohol absorbed through the skin while having Xanax in my system? I take 0.5mg per day of Xanax. The alcoholic solution is applied gently just over the pimple only.

While reading the package insert about this solution, It did not mention to avoid sedating meds, so I guess its OK.
But please confirm this just to be safe.

No you won't absorb enough of the ethanol for it to be dangerous, especially when you're only applying it to just the acne.
