Splitting OxyContin CR 10mg?

Dumb question and please don't ridicule me... I've had a daily codeine habit of round 60-120mg a day, yes it's small. But I've stopped taking it and my whole body aches... I have no codeine around. But, I do have OxyContin CR 10mg... I heard 10mg is equal to about 100mg codeine?

I only want half, is it safe to cut them? Seems to be warnings everywhere to not do it!? I only want to numb the pain a bit and get some sleep. Hence the low dose.

It's safe to cut one, it's a good idea. You could use that pill to taper off a little if you like.

It's only one pill but with your codeine habit being where it is that pill could go a long way if need be. Just be mindful of fucking up and starting an oxy habit, apologies for the mum and dad talk but it would be remiss of me not to mention the obvious danger. Take care
