Something for the Sceptics

I think the official religion is a form of secular humanism. So you hear arguments like "It's better to be a good person who doesn't believe in God than not be a good person who believes in God" (like you have to choose).

But that's the kind of false choice we're being conditioned to make. I don't belief the choice between science and spirituality is a legit one. It's just a way to keep you in ignorance and keep you from putting the pieces of the puzzle together. That's what really bothers me about it. I don't care if my "side" wins, but that's what people mostly seem to care about.

What is strange is how many people still see being anti-religious as something rebellious. It was once, now it's more rebellious to hold religious beliefs. Religion used to be for social control, but now we have the mass-media to fulfill that role, and it's kind of our religion (it's gone downhill with Christianity since the TV was invented).
