Snow On Tha Bluff Trailer

Wiki Article

wikipedia said:
Snow on tha Bluff is a 2012 reality/drama film directed by Damon Russell. It is the story of Curtis Snow, a real Atlanta "robbery boy and crack dealer whose livelihood revolves around armed robbery and drug pushing" who "sought out [director] Damon Russell to make a film about his life." The film's title refers to protagonist Curtis Snow and to Atlanta's neighborhood The Bluff, which is infamous for crime and drug dealing.

I caught this on Netflix last night and it was interesting to say the least. I'm not a big fan of the hand held "hyperreal" camera type shooting but it wasn't too hard to look past in this flick.

Heh, I'm not really good at starting threads for movies, I just wanted to hear what other people thought of this one. ;)

So if you've caught this one, what did you think?

Tried to hard to be something more than it was. Fun to watch, but I'm glad it the run time was no longer than it was.
I was glad that they didn't try and portray any particular premise to the viewer and left it raw, if they tried to throw in some anti-gang/drug/crime message it would have been awful. Letting it play itself out worked for it as far is it could.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I thought it was very well done and they didn't really try to over do it with all kinds of theatrical nonsense. The movie is very raw and makes it feel as if it were an actual documentary.

Saw this after seeing this thread. I wouldn't rate it too highly, maybe a 6 or 6.5/7 but i do enjoy watching movies and docos about crack dealers and ghettos in the usa, its so far from anything we have around here that it keeps me interested.
