Rosin question

Hey guys, I plan on making a small amount of rosin tonight I thing I'm just gonna use a gram or 2 with a hair straigtner and some parchment paper. So my question is if my hair straigtner is only like a inch wide can I still do it if I clamp it hard right around the bud. I will use small hugs as well, is it just too small? And it's grade a bud, what should we expect? I know it varies a lot. Thanks guys!
