In the past I have not been able to find much information about what 5HT2Ar activation does to neural circuitry - can anybody provide any links or point me in the right direction?

How does psychedelic 5HT2Ar activation lead to such changes in neural oscillations - are there are 5HT2Ar's located on the cells that generate oscillations or provide input to the cells that generate oscillations?

By what mechanism(s) does 5HT2A agonism lead to inability to sleep - overall increased excitability or is there a particular interaction to blame?

Are the 5HT2Ar's located densely on the hypothalamus, and activating them "turns off a filter"?
