Hello!
I was taking xanax for 7 years. In the past few month I have been able to go from 3-4mg a day to .5 a day where I was at for more than two weeks. However, over the past 5 days I have updosed to 2mg because my anxiety has been terrible.
My question: My body had acclimated to the .5 daily and I was doing well in terms of withdrawal and cravings, though my anxiety was bad. I am wondering how if my body has already adjusted to the new dose and whether or not I have to restart my taper from 2mg, or if because it was only 5 days of use, I should be able to go back down to .5 daily without problems. SO basically, did I screw myself and my taper over the last five days by updosing or is it more likely that because it was only five days of updosing, I should be able to return to .5 a day without any serious withdrawals.
This is my first post here and I am very glad I found this community. Thank you everyone for your input!
