So my friend got hurt a while back and still has some oxycodone left in the medicine cabinet. The prescription is about 5 months old and was to take on an as needed bases, which apparently it wasn't needed all too much as there's still one dose left.. Now my friend just got ordered in court recently to submit random drug tests.
He was asked if he was on any meds but did not mention oxy because it was forgotten he had it. He is now having some flare up pain and would like to take the last dose.. Can he can in trouble for this even though it was prescribed almost half a year ago? Would there be any negative consequences if he told the test administerer that he took the last dose of this prescription? Thanks in advance. He lives in nj by the way and I believe the court case is regarding CPS, could be wrong though.
