Opioids Question about pill dosage and splitting

Hello.
I've got my hands on some ER oxycodone 40mg. I want to crush them to get arround the ER. I want to take only half of a pill, so 20 mg. The pill do not have a split line, and because of this, I wonder if i can be 100% sure that i only take 20mg if i break it in half (same amount of oxy in one part as in the other?), or would i have to crush the whole thing, and make two bunks of powder?

I did not get a reply, but from researching a bit more about this topic, it seems that the best and most reliable option is, to crush the whole pill into powder, and then split it into 4 lines of same size (equal to 10mg per line). From what i could read, a chunk of a pill might contain more or less concentration, and this is not reliable. I thought this might help others in the same situation.
