Is there a difference?

From what ive seen, psychoTROPICS is better known in the general population (than psychoactive), and psychoTROPIC more used in a medical context

Psychoactives seems to be a nerdy way to say mind-altering drugs

Are they synonymous tho? Thx

Yep, same thing. Two of the definitions I read for psychoactive had psychotropic in them.

I don't know. I don't find myself using either one very often.

I find myself talking about individual drugs or different classes of psychoactives much more often than I find myself discussing psychoactives in the broad sense.
