I actually am not that familar with the issues you are raising because I'm not really tied into the drug culture anymore. My main concern actually is that people think these are harmless drugs. And I'm not convinced of that. I think they are for most people. But it's not all hearts and flowers, there is a dark side. And it seems people either deliberately turn away from or are unaware of that aspect. You don't have to look too far to find a few casualties among those who are vulnerable.
This is true for all medicines I suppose, but I fear polishing it up and attaching some special significance to hallucinogens detracts from the reality that you are taking a chemical into your body which is altering your brain chemistry fairly radically. This is not aspirin. And unfortunately because of the war on drugs it is hard to research these drugs. So it's hard to say do this one don't do that one, use this amount. Use as needed, use daily, don't use at all. It's all just wild stabs in the dark.
