Psilocybin & Gabapentin (Shrooms & Neurontin)

Anyone have information on the interaction of psilocybin and gabapentin?

Someone I know going into a controlled study takes 600mg of gabapentin 3x a day for their chronic pain. They're wondering if the gabapentin will at all affect their experience in the study. When they take high doses they tell me they get very sleepy and often fall right asleep, but their normal dose doesn't usually make them overly drowsy.

I'm on Gabapentin, 900mg/day.

It has not affected my tripping in any way. The only differences that I noticed at the beginning were decreased come-up anxiety and decreased body load. I also kind of feel like it makes dissociatives more potent. But don't quote me on that, that's just from personal experience. Everyone's body and reaction to medication/psychedelics is different.

Your friend should be fine IMO, psilocybin is a physically very safe drug.
