Psilocybin causing headaches Help!

Hey Bluelight, I'm really hoping you can help me out here. My girlfriend has taken mushrooms twice, and both times around 6-8 hours after ingestion she gets a really serious headache. Ingestion was at about noon both times, with headache lasting into the next evening. We don't think it's dehydration (drank 2 liters of water during trip, good hydration before and after) and there was very limited exposure to sunlight or other bright lights. No others drugs or alcohol were mixed. Myself and 2 other friends took the same dose from the same batch and had no problems. Dose was 3 grams blended in OJ. Produced good high with mild hallucinations.

I've done a lot of digging online and found some people with similar experiences, but no information on what may be causing the headaches or what could be done to stop them. We tried 2 Advil liquid gels, they helped but only a little. We're going to give it one more shot, but if she can't shake the headaches she's going to stop shrooming. Any ideas on what's causing this or how to stop it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

this is a very common side effect from mushrooms. I have been told this is from the high amount of Urea that is present in Psilocybe Cubensis mushrooms, however, I have gotten headaches from mushrooms and from 4-ACO-MiPT so it could just be a side effect of psilocybin type drugs in high doses.

You could try another species of mushroom, I have tried Panaeolus cyenescens mushrooms, and the trip felt much cleaner in general than cubensis.
Or you could try and have a snack, take the NSAID of your choice and remain hydrated.
