do you think there will ever be a cure for schizophrenia? also, is it common for people to experience no delusions or hallucinations, just cognitive negatives?

better classification of what even is schizophrenia will come, better understanding how it works will come and at some point really efficient meds will come too..but cure...if it’s even possible it’ll be something totally different than anything we have right now. I imagine that putting one into hibernation with something like DADLE and letting brain rewire (like it really does with animals put artificially in hibernation with certain substances) could lead to curing schizophrenia but also as a side effect boot up completely new person who would need to re-learn everything.

There are different subtypes, some don't hallucinate but have immensely paranoid delusions. Some people have "high functioning" schizophrenia. Milder symptoms in general I suppose, which with medication could give them a pretty normal life.

I don't think there will ever be a cure, but I think treatments will improve more for sure.
